Hi,
Nice to see you bike in the streets of London. I too am an avid cyclist, a marathoner and an ardent meditator. Like you have mentioned in your post, I ride my bike only at what are considered to be meditative states of consciousness. And I have to admit, it is heaven. It you want to make the most use of it, concentrate on your breath. So that it will be both cycling and meditation as well. A double whammy.

Take care and have fun.

Came over from Moobz' site (well, all right, I swanned over, if you must know) and just wanted to note that I am enjoying your writing greatly.

Interesting. Did you write about this and can you remember the location? From my POV this sounds like a case of a badly sited yellow box where it is difficult to comply with the rules. Seems like the driver found him/her self in a no win situation - do I stay in the box and get fined 100 quid, or do I reverse out and risk taking out a few pedestrians?

Some people are very frightened by authority and will do stupid things to avoid being caught breaking the law/being fined.

Hi Jim, thanks for the comment and the link. I don't drive much so my main beef with them is that they don't cover the pedestrian crossings as well, which means that in order for a driver to be good and not enter the yellow box, they park (or even reverse into on one notable occasion) the pedestrian crossings instead. I can't think that was what their designers had in mind ... But good luck with your crusade. Or if you get too fed up, join us on the trains ...

Hi, love your site. I came across it while I was planning mine. It's a few years since I used to commute regularly and it seems like nothing much has changed!

I would be interested in your take on my cause from your POV as a train user.

Thanks.

I like your blog - makes me very glad I don't live in London any more, and my jourey to work here in Cambridge consists of a 15 minute cycle or walk across a park, across a road, and round a windmill!
